1. I am new to the village how long do I have to purchase a village sticker?

New residents have 30 days, upon moving into the Village, to obtain a valid Village vehicle sticker. This applies regardless of whether there is a current vehicle sticker issued from the former municipality or not. A full year or half year sticker will be issued depending upon the time you move into the Village.

2. When do I have to notify the Secretary of State to change my license plates?

Illinois Law requires that the Secretary of State’s office be notified within 10 days of any change of address within the state. New residents from out of the State have 30 days to file a change of address.
